The Concept
Shopboy is a tailor shop, atelier and curated retail & gallery space located in Tribeca, New York City. We offer a full range of alterations for men and women, from work on suits and formal-wear to denim, leather and knitwear. Our specialists will work with you to achieve the perfect fit and style on anything you have in your wardrobe, with the alterations and repairs done on-site by our master tailors.
Shopboy has now expanded its offering in Tribeca to highlight brands, artists, furniture and products that speak to the Shopboy ethos of craftsmanship, design and attention to detail. The front of the space is ever-changing with exhibits and specialty retail, while the tailor shop and atelier remains in the back. All Shopboy Atelier pieces are made on-site using scraps from the tailor shop and local fabrics. Shopboy also offers a shopping concierge service.

Founded in 2017 by Kendall and Desmond Brooks, Shopboy began as a tailor shop for alterations and repairs for men and women. With a commitment to offering both the highest-quality work and a luxury experience, Shopboy continues to build a loyal clientele that values our alterations as an art form.
Shopboy was voted Best of New York by New York Magazine in 2018 and has worked extensively with luxury brands including Alexander McQueen, Dover Street Market, Thom Browne, Proper Cloth, Haus Alkire, Drakes, The Armoury, Rowing Blazers, Kiton, Theory, Officine Generale, Aztec Mountain and Rag & Bone.
